Mysterious Puzzle RPG “18: Dream World” Experience “18: Dream World VR” at TOKYO COMIC CON! Streaming on “360Channel“ from today!

CEO: Koki Yabu) are proud to announce that the VR trailer directed by visual artist Koji Morimoto for the popular smartphone game “18: Dream World” titled “18: Dream World VR” will be on display at the “The Art of 18” VR SPACE booth at the TOKYO COMIC CON held during December 2th (Fri) – 4th (Sun).
Furthermore, “18: Dream World VR” will start distributing on the 360 degrees video distribution service “360Channel” starting from 15:00 on December 2 (Fri).

■Experience Koji Morimoto’s “Dream World” at TOKYO COMIC CON!

The exhibition booth at TOKYO COMIC CON for “The Art of 18” will feature VR goggles and headphones so that visitors can truly experience the world of “18: Dream World VR”.
Furthermore, the version that will be available at the VR SPACE booth is a newer version that the currently streaming version.
“18: Dream World VR” is the first of the “The Art of 18” project series and is a VR trailer directed by Koji Morimoto featuring the “Dream World” of the “18: Dream World”.
This is a digital artwork featuring Mr. Morimoto’s artistic visual expressions and minimal and yet deep techno sounds combined with the latest VR technology that bring out the best of the vision of “18: Dream World”.
This video can be best enjoyed through wearing VR goggles for smartphones or HMD and headphones for PC. Please enjoy 360 degrees of visual euphoria with panoramic sound coming from all directions and truly emerge yourself in the “Dream World”.

Visitors of “The Art of 18” VR SPACE will be able to receive the exclusive event character “King Bear” by reading the QR code available at the booth.
This is your chance to get this rare character that was only previously available at the “18: Kimi-Tsuna Fest.” Event held in December 2015!
Furthermore, latest project for “The Art of 18” will be announced between 18:00-18:15 on December 3rd (Sat). Please look forward to the announcement of the next work following Koji Morimoto’s VR trailer.

 

■“18: Dream World VR” streaming on “360Channel”

Starting on November 10 (Thu), “18: Dream World VR” which was exclusive to DMM’s VR video distribution service will be available on the 360 degree video site “360Channel”.

The POV of the video to be distributed on “360 Channel” can be adjusted freely and users will be able to have a visual experience as if they were really inside the video world. VR HMDs such as Oculus Rift and Gear VR will provide users with a refined immersive visual experience. You will also be able to experience the video through your PC or smartphone if you access the video from the exclusive site. We hope that you will take this opportunity to enjoy the visual beauty of the 360 degree “18: Dream World VR” world.

[About Koji Morimoto]
Koji Morimoto (Born 1959 in Wakayama, Japan) is a Japanese animation director, videographer, visual creator, art director, and a visiting scholar of Kyoto Seika University.
Working as the assistant animation director for the acclaimed “Akira”, he would go on to direct works such as “Memories (Magnetic Rose)”, “EXTRA” (music video), “The Animatrics”, “Genius Party Beyond (Dimension Bomb)”, the opening segment of “SHORT PEACE”, etc.
His accolades include the Excellence Award of The Japan Media Arts Festival’s Digital Art Division, First Prize of the Multimedia Grand Prix’s CG Division, Silver Award at the Cannes International Creativity Festival’s Cyber Division, etc.
